| 36° C | 20° C | 35° C | 18° C | 38° C | 20° C | 37° C | 20° C | 39° C | 17° C |
A dziś dostałam dobrą wiadomość. No i mój urlop w Portugalii. Sierpień zapowiada się bardzo dobrze.
A wracając do imprez… Muzyka rozrywkowa rumuńska… Trochę żenada, puszczają ją wcześniej, cały czas te same 3-4 przeboje. Zresztą zobaczcie sami (po wersji angielskiej załączyłam). Rumuni mają jakąś obsesję na punkcie śpiewania w innych językach, albo robią jakieś dziwne połączenia językowe. Hiszpański, portugalski, portugalski z pojedynczymi hiszpańskimi słówkami, angielski, do tego miksu jeszcze rumuński dokładają czasami. Galimatias.
This week I haven’t started working. So one more week of sitting around and pretending to be busy. I was supposed to have a call on Friday, then for unknown reasons it was cancelled. Again. And since next week Ramona goes to Turkey for few days to deal with the some problems regarding the migration from there to Bucharest, so once again I have no idea when I am supposed to start dealing with clients.
At the moment however, I don’t care about the work and work related stuff, cause it is weekend and weekend is for relaxing. And we did relax this weekend. Cause we are experiencing extremely hot weather, you just don’t feel like doing anything too active. It isn’t surprising given the temperatures here in Bucharest:
Sun

36°C | 20°C
Mon

35°C | 18°C
Tue

38°C | 20°C
Wed

37°C | 20°C
Then, if it the heat wasn’t enough, in our “great” (irony) flat we don’t have curtains or anything to give us some protection from sun, so the room is hot and stuffy. Fortunately, we have air conditioning, which saves us from melting down (but we are still woken up in the early morning by sunlight, so no chances of sleeping bit longer during the weekend). And the strawberry season and liquor Beirão are helping to make the hot weekend more enjoyable. I even made panna cotta to celebrate Nuno’s getting the job. Well, honestly, it was panna cotta from Dr. Oetker desserts, convenient and easy to prepare. Once they were giving them outside Oracle, as the promotion, cause it was a new dessert on the Romanian market. It was some time ago, but finding whipping cream is not an easy task. But instead of ready and artificial sauce from the package, I made my own strawberry mousse to put on the top. We bought strawberries in the indoor marketplace where probably people who sell come from the countryside. Fruits and vegetables are tastier than those from the supermarket. But the lady who sold us strawberry not only convinced us to buy 1,5 kg instead of only 1 kg but she also got us back less change that she should have (we noticed it afterwards, at home, that she cheated us out of 5 lei). And she was so talkative and smiling all the time... Well, at least strawberries were delicious. And in the afternoon, we went to the shopping centre for Nuno to buy summer shoes. Fortunately he bought one pair, but he is strangely delighted with them :P
As for the evening, we had plans, cause Ilona was getting back from Turkey on Saturday, it was just the perfect occasion to go out. Traditionally, we started in her apartment, and then we went to El Comandate, el Dictador or el Gran Comandante, I never remember where all those places are, and the names are so confusing: P Music that was played there, was so tacky, but we still had fun:) In addition to us, Ilona & Polish team, there were two Romanian girls: Romina, from my work and Delia, Ilona’s colleague from work. Before going to the club, we still looked decent. Then, photos are, let is put that way, unfavourable.
And today I got really good news. Celina has bought tickets to visit me in August for a weekend:) And since Nuno is in Portugal in August, every visit is even more appreciated. And at the end of August, Kasia and her bf are coming to Romania as well. And also in August I am going to Portugal for my holidays. So I just can’t wait for this summer month to come.
Coming back to the Saturday evening and music ... Romanian pop music and hits that are on the top right now ... There are now 3-4 Romanian song that are very popular. You have to check them yourself, cause I’m lacking the appropriate words to describe the style, the level and what I think of them... Romanians seem to have same kind of obsession to sing in other languages, or do some strange combination of phrases in different languages in one song: Spanish, Portuguese, Portuguese with some Spanish words that they think are Portuguese, then they add some English, or mix it with Romanian sometimes. Just see it.
Smaku mi narobiłaś wspominając panna cotta, ten pyszny i włoski skądinąd deser! Śmietana w Italii wyśmienita, więc już mi ślinka cieknie!Pozdrawiam. Bozena
